Why Choose Adventures?
Why Choose Adventures?
Adventures Child Care & Learning Center has been serving the families and children of Indianapolis’ south side and Center Grove area for over sixteen years. Over those sixteen years, Adventures has acquired many tools, resources, and practices that have helped it to stand out as a quality child care center.
Adventures has voluntarily chosen to take part in Indiana’s Quality Rating System known as Paths to QUALITY. Adventures is currently the first center provider in Johnson County that has reached a Level 4 (out of 4) status, and we are the only level four that serves all age groups: infants through elementary age. We are currently Nationally Accredited through the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA).
During the past fifteen years, Adventures has continued to create its own curriculum to meet the needs of the children and families we serve. Adventures is the only provider in Johnson County that has a Curriculum Specialist. Our Curriculum Specialist, Erin Sinders, has a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Exceptional Needs from Purdue University with two teaching licenses from the state of Indiana: one license in Early Childhood Education, and the other in Mild Intervention to service children with Special Needs. Erin works with all staff to create Developmentally Appropriate lesson plans to fulfill the needs of each class and specific child. We do not use corporate curricula or purchase pre-made curriculum to allow flexibility.
Adventures provides love and care to children as young as 6 weeks up until the child’s thirteenth birthday or their start of middle school. This allows children to become comfortable in their surroundings and with long-term caregivers. This also enables children to transition from age group to age group easily; especially children transitioning from our early childhood setting to their Kindergarten setting. We also work closely with area schools to ensure that when our children leave our preschool program for Kindergarten they are prepared for their new academic surroundings.
Our number one goal at Adventures is to provide a fun, safe, and encouraging environment so that all children who come in our doors know that they are loved and their parents know that they will receive a fun, quality education that prepares children for future success in school and in life.
“One thing that stands out in our minds that is important to us is the staff and their length of service... The staff always goes out of their way to make sure each child's needs are addressed. Now that our son is in school and doing really well academically, we feel that is a testimony of the curriculum that Adventures has."

“I can't imagine anyone else taking care of my children any better than what Becky and the Adventures Daycare team do. Maybe I should leave it at that, but I won't. I can't imagine a more clean and well run daycare. I can't imagine a more happy place, filled with laughter and learning.”

“The most striking characteristic about Adventures is the longevity of their staff. The same teachers/caregivers who took care of our boys when they were infants are still at the center. This strong retention of staff speaks volumes about the management at Adventures and the positive working experience of it's staff, which translates into happy teachers teaching your children... the open atmosphere at Adventures is a great comfort and provides '"no place to hurt a child without someone knowing."

“The early learning that was provided at Adventures, allowed the kids to excel as they transitioned to Kindergarten and more importantly helped to establish their love for school and learning. I most certainly have recommended Adventures to family and friends and would recommend the facility to anyone. I am convinced that the care and attention that they have received is consistent with the care that families give in their own homes.”
